Why We Love It
Lake Placid, home to the abolitionist John Brown, sits within the Adirondack Mountain Range and is known for its small town mountain culture and outdoor adventure. The Hudson River Gorge, Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain offer plenty action on land and in water, while Main Street is more relaxed with artisan shops, local cuisine and farmers' markets.
