Why We Love It
Washington DC, the capital of the United States, is named after First President George Washington and is at the center of American politics, history, and democracy. It is home to the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court and many International Embassies, making it a focal point of the U.S. government. As a cultural and educational hub, many of the city's attractions are free, including museums, monuments, and numerous parks and green spaces for recreational outdoor activity.
Free (or Almost Free) Stuff To Do

It is home to historic monuments and buildings such as the U.S. Capital Building, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Jr. National Monument, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the World War II Memorial.
